The Extendable Slatted Bed Base is a quick fix if you have broken your centre support rail. Or have a frame with no internal fixings. These are highly recommended for antique beds.
Designed as a perfect solution for broken center support rails or antique beds without internal fixings, this versatile bed base ensures lasting comfort and durability.
Built with box steel side rails and centre rail giving it strength and support. The side rails of the frame sit on the batons within your bed frame, or on the top of the framework which you can then cable tie to keep in place.

This is an ideal solution for repairing your bed frame it was quick and easy to assemble to.

Good substantial base
Just a couple of points that Bishops could improve on regarding information displayed.
– it should say how high the base is because when using on an old antique bed it stands quite proud
– also it does not say that 2 screws come with the base and these seem to be for locking the extended frame in a fixed width

Great product
This extended slatted bed base is ideal for our French antique bed which is wider than a super king size. The bed base is heavy duty and solidly put together. Very easy to place and a perfect solution and replacement to our previously homemade mashed together base. Very happy with it and also feel it is very good value for money.

Always going to be a difficult one -we didn’t want go down the route of buying a new bed -but presumably this would have to cover a range of sizes -and it worked superbly -just cable tying in finally to give plenty of rigidity.Very helpful at Bishops and would highly recommend them.
