52mm Sprung Bed Slat Holders for Side Rails
Our 52mm Sprung Bed Slat Holders are used on the side rails of bed frames. Also known as ” End Caps “, these are used on the side rails which have pre-drilled holes that accommodate the two pins. These then slot into the framework.
ALWAYS MEASURE EXISTING PARTS TO BE SURE REPLACEMENTS WILL BE SUITABLE FOR USE
The best way to achieve this is to measure the WIDTH, DEPTH & LENGTH of your BED SLAT.
Standard bed slats are commonly 52mm, 60mm, 63mm in width and 8mm in depth, this would determine what size fixing you would require.
Available in packs of 5 and 10 as standard, or save with a value pack of 20.
Don’t forget to also grab any pin slats that you may need, we supply single, double, and kingsize frames.

We bought this bed slat holders to replace the original ones that came with the bed. They became brittle very quickly and broke into several pieces.
These ones from Bishops are more flexible and much better quality.

Unfortunately the box arrived with the slats in but there were no holders in the box. I have waited to see if they would arrive separately but they have not. Difficult to fit the slats without them.

The product is good and the communication re delivery issues was excellent. However, the overall experience was let down by the delivery issues.
The initial order was dispatched on 27th Nov but never arrived at delivery address. Following my email and a telephone call (in which Bishop’s staff were very helpful) a second dispatch was sent on 8th Dec. and arrived on 9th Dec.

Great Solution
I’m very pleased I looked at replacing the slat holders. There was nothing wrong with my bed other than the brittle slat holders that kept breaking. Replacing them all with ones from Bishops Beds only took me 30 minutes and now the bed is back like new!

They fitted
The side plastic holders on my five year old double bed had become brittle and were disintegrating. The Chinese manufacturer must have used an unsuitable plastic! Strangely, the centre holders were still perfect.. They must have been made with a different plastic. My slats were 55mm wide and these holders fitted them perfectly. I had to shave about 1mm off the prongs with a stanley knife for them to fit into the bed rails. Only time will tell whether they last but them do appear to be reasonably tough.

Lug spacing slightly different to originals but as flexible, clipped in firmly. Used to replace all originals as they had become brittle and all slats just fell out. Buy direct, get bulk packs, much cheaper.
